Preparing for Nexus

Welcome to the All Nations Worship Assembly Leadership Nexus 2018 Cohort!

These trainings will be full of information. It is important that you prepare yourself to learn. Listed are some helpful tips to ensure that you are ready for these sessions.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THESE TRAININGS

Before you attend these trainings, here are a few recommendations for getting the most out of your experience.

1. BE ALERT
Make sure that you get plenty of rest the night before each class. If you have had a long day, try getting a cup of coffee before class to ensure that your mind is alert and attentive.

2. BE ON TIME
Be on time for each class. Materials will be distributed at the beginning of class and attendance will be taken. If you are more than 15 minutes late for class, it will be counted as an absence. Attendees are only permitted to miss two of the ten week classes.

3. PREPARE TO UNPLUG
In order to give the Nexus your full attention, we request that you silence and put your phones away.

4. THINGS YOU MIGHT NEED
To enjoy this class, you only need a note taking device and a desire to learn. (If using an electronic device, ensure it is fully charged. Charging outlets may not be available.) We’ve found that some students learn best when using a few other tools, so here’s a short list of ‘nice-to-haves’ to help maximize your learning potential.

4a. CLASS WORKBOOK
The class workbook will be provided to you on your first day of class. You must bring this workbook with you each session to ensure that you can follow the teachings and projects. This will also help you when you go back home and study in your free time.

4b.  PEN OR PENCIL & PAPER
Studies show that students recall more material if they record it with handwritten notes. Please bring a pen or pencil and paper to write down your notes.
